Shawn's Christmas Wish List for Santa and God

Dear Santa,

For Christmas this year, I would like: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew wit a red glob that leaves a hole in itself when it sucks me inside it at bed time and it can be invisible. A real living Mew Two and Mew. Beaner back, nutered. K,nex corkscrew canyon, Pokemon the First Movie and Pokemon the second Movie on DVD for both movies. Line Chaserz, that is like a giant Mew Two shaped house, mew two (wooden frame the house needs to be 20 feet tall). A portable DVD player. PSP Portable and Bush for PSP Portable. and the movie Cars. Storm Launcher.
Thank you.

*This is Shawn's wish list for Santa that he asked I fax to the North Pole. I left the spellings and wording exactly as Shawn wrote them. :) Thank heaven for Santa! For me, the best Christmas present would be for our Beaner to be returned to us! This is a picture of Beaner at about 3 months old. I used to call him "Alice" (short for Alice Cooper) because of the black "eyeliner" around his eyes! I guess the hardest part about this whole ordeal is NOT knowing what has happened to our precious dog and I agonize over it on a daily basis. Keep sending good thoughts and prayers to Beaner if you could, we would appreciate it!

WHAT IS ASPERGER'S SYNDROME?

Hello,

Here is an interesting article about Asperger's Syndrome, By Barbara L. Kirby
Founder of the OASIS Web site (www.aspergersyndrome.org)and Co-author of THE OASIS GUIDE TO ASPERGER SYNDROME (Crown, 2001, Revised 2005)

You can cut and paste the url shown here to view the entire article and website:

http://www.udel.edu/bkirby/asperger/aswhatisit.html

I was lucky, my beautiful son Shawn (pictured above who is now 8 1/2 years old) was diagnosed at age 3 and an appropriate intervention was made at that time. Up until then, it was sheer hell not knowing what was "wrong" with him or how to deal with it. As a single mother of a child with a neurological disability (he could not talk until he was 3 so he constantly SCREAMED until then, he didn't potty train until he was at least 4, I could not go out in a public place without him "making a scene"), I always "knew" something was wrong, but I guess I stayed "in denial" for the first three years of his life. I felt very lost and alone. I now feel so lucky and fortunate that God led us to the right people who could help Shawn on his journey. He's turned out to be a great kid and I am grateful all of those who have helped and who are now helping him cope with Asperger's. I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Here is a photo of Shawn and his Rescue Dog, BeBe (a real life love story in the making) taken last week at Competitive Dog Sports in Columbiaville. MI. These folks do wonders with animals and I highly recommend them as trainers. Their website is located at: www.compdogsports.com/ Using animals for therapy is also a great way "connect" with children who have disabilities. Animals have that uncanny ability to directly communicate with children who are mentally or physically challenged. I have seen it and experienced it with my own eyes.

Anyway, last Thursday evening was graduation night from Basic Obidience Training. Tonight we start Flyball Training with Bebe. Way to go Shawn and Bebe - I'm so proud of you !!!

Update on Beaner

I called the rescue in California yesterday and the woman who runs it said she has had the dog for over a year (even before I said anything about Beaner). My husband also looked at his markings, and our Beaner is much darker on either side of his face. What a disappointment. I'm still on a mission to find him, I am not giving up! Here's Beaner in 2005 modeling his new HIB Coat.

BEANER FOUND AT RESCUE IN CALIFORNIA

Hi,

I was perusing the Petfinder.com site today and found this dog:(click on the link or cut and paste into your browser)

http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=2783088

He looks just like our Beaner, only a little distressed. Wouldn't you be if you have been away from home since 7/21/06? As soon as I saw the picture my heart dropped to my knees. My intuition says it is not too far fetched to think that he was snatched up, sold/shipped to a breeder or worse yet a puppy mill in California, ran away or was rescued. Thus the distressed look on his face and ears back in the photos. They say he is a Jack/Corgi cross, but I say NO WAY, from the headshot. He looks like a pure bred Pembroke Welsh Corgi to me. These pictures aren't too clear on here, so to view them you need to go to the Petfinder.com website. I know for a fact that Puppy and Dog Snatching is a big business these days. A co-worker just recently had her $2,000 Chocolate Lab Hunting Dog snatched from a Trainers Kennel in Clio. They have traced the dog to Canada (was sold and shipped within 2 days of the "snatch"), but have no proof! And the Trainer was supposed to be a friend--some friend! I truly believe $$$ IS the root of all EVIL!

I have e-mailed the resuce and have not received a response. I'm ready to get on the phone and call them to obtain more information on this dog.

Please pray for us that this dog is our beloved Beaner and that he will be returned to us! God does answer prayers and performs miracles. You have to have FAITH.

I am not going to give up until I find him, I AM on a MISSION! It is a mission of LOVE. And appropro today to find this ad on Petfinder, the same day as the "ray" of October 17th. Wow, no coincidence. God works in mysterious ways doesn't he?

Blessings, Love and Gratitude,
SpiritDancer and Shawn

SHAWN'S CORNER

Hi, My name is Shawn David Lee. I am 8 years old and have Asperger's Syndrome. I have been helping my mom at shows most every weekend, and selling my art tiles. She said I could tell you a little bit about them and my designs on our blogspot :).

I love to paint and draw. I am a budding artist. I have two dogs, Bubba, a nine year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi and BeBe, a one year old Jack Russell/Rat Terrier we rescued from Animal Control while looking for our "lost" Corgi Beaner. Since I love animals so much, I recently created a Cat Design and a Dog Design. My grandma and me decided to put them on tiles and make "hotplates" out of them. I have been selling them at shows very succesfully and plan on making some more animal designs in the near future.

The Art Tiles are for sale. Each tile is $5.00 and be ordered here on our blogspot. If you want me to ship it to you I can for $5.95 each. We can also combine ship them (at a reduced shipping rate) and include a gift card if it's a present. You can use them has hot pads or just display them on an easel as art. They make GREAT HOLIDAY GIFTS.

My mom and I decided that 5% of the proceeds I collect for the tiles will be donated to the Michigan Humane Society (www.michiganhumane.org) and 5% to the Autism Society of Michigan (www.autism-mi.org). I hope I can help homeless animals and also families with children who have autism through the sales of my art. I want to help others who are not as lucky as I am.

Thank you for your time and for considering my artwork.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

Shawn David Lee

P.S. If you would like to learn more about Asperger's Syndrome you can go to:
Autism Asperger Publishing Company at www.asperger.net Many famous people have been diagnosed with forms of Asperger's, including Bill Gates and Dan Ackroyd.

NOTE: Shawn, I am so proud of you! I love you! Thank you Grandma for being such a wonderful mentor to Shawn! Love, Mom

she couldn't possibly endure any more, this moron dumped her
in the trees behind a North Dallas housing development and left
her to die! To read about Mercy's loosing battle to live and

HAVE YOU SEE THIS DOG? MISSING/STOLEN 3 YEAR OLD TRI-COLORED PEMBROKE WELSH CORGI, "BEANER"

Hello everyone

Once again I've had an update on Beaner...he was seen alive, well and healthy about 10 minutes from our house...I just got the call last night, Im going out today to check and repost the ads around town! His ad is also posted on the front door of my son's school (which is right around the corner from where he was seen!). He was headed back towards our home, he is probably looking for us and lost his way...

Beaner is the Tri-colored (BLACK, TAN, WHITE) Corgi pictured. The other dog (in the 2nd photo), is our Senior Corgi, BUBBA (Red/White), who is Beaner's companion and best buddy.

If you could once again forward this to your e-lists, say a prayer for our Beaner and keep an "eye" out for him either wandering, online at a shelter, or in someone's possession, we would be so grateful!

Many thanks

Hi Everyone! Please feel free to cross post. I am very excited about this week's show entitled 'SpiritDancer's Walk With The Animals'. I was fortunate enough to have my dear firend, SpiritDancer, on the show and it was VERY exciting (and some tears were shed). We focused on the Mind, Body, and Spirit of the animals from SpiritDancer's prospective. Here's what we discussed: Mind = Animal Communication (using body language and voice), and we discussed her missing dog, Beaners. Body = Amazon Herbs line for animals and how she has used them on her own pets (including horses!) Spirit = SpiritDancer told us 2 awesome rescues stories (the one of her retired race horse rescue made the tears flow!) I had a lot of fun recording this session and I hope you have as much fun listening to it! SpiritDancer's Walk With The Animals will be available to listen to or to download from my web site www.thepawzcauze.net tomorrow (Friday, October 13th) at 1:00pm EST. You can also catch our show streaming online every Wednesday afternoon at 4pm EST (right after Animal Talk Naturally) on All Pet's Radio at www.allpetsradio.com. SpiritDancer's show will air on All Pet's Radio on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at 4pm EST. If you're just learning about The Pawz Cauze, then please go to www.thepawzcauze.net and check out our shows that are available to listen to or download right now! They are: Kim Bloomer - Unleashed - Show #2 Mind, Body, and Spirit - Show #1 Then be sure to catch us every Friday at 1pm to get our newest show! We will be adding videocasts very soon to our line up (we will also have audio versions available of the videocasts for those who do not have videocast capabilities). Be sure to get these shows for free while you can because after 2 months online, the shows that are 2 months old will only be available on CD and then you'll have to purchase them! Thank you for your time. Have a great day!
